Compassionate Counselling for Individuals & Couples
Providing a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space to explore your emotions, past experiences, and strengthen your relationships. Whether you’re navigating trauma, relationship challenges, or the emotional ups and downs of life and parenthood, counselling can help you feel heard, understood, and supported on your journey.
Meet Katherine Sharbanee
I’m Katherine Sharbanee, a registered counsellor (ACA) with a Bachelor in Psychological science and a Master of Counselling. I am deeply passionate about supporting individuals and couples through life’s most meaningful and challenging transitions. My areas of focus include attachment and relationships, perinatal mental health, and parental support. With a compassionate and gentle approach, I provide a safe and nurturing space for clients to explore their experiences, strengthen their emotional wellbeing, and foster deeper connections with themselves and others.
Finding the right therapist can sometimes be nerve racking or disheartening when someone doesn’t understand you. I have genuine compassion and care for those constrained by emotional suffering; where I endeavour to assist individuals and couples in having the highest quality of life, meaning, authenticity and fulfilment.
Why Counselling Helps
-

Therapy offers an opportunity to gain deeper insight into how past experiences shape present emotions, thoughts, and behaviours. In our work together, I support you in exploring these patterns with curiosity and compassion, helping you develop greater self-understanding and emotional awareness.
-

Individual and couples therapy can offer a opportunity to strengthen relationships, improve communication, and deepen understanding. Together, we can identify your goals and work towards creating meaningful change that supports connection, trust, and fulfilment.
-

Counselling provides a confidential and private space which allows someone to express themselves with honesty and without judgment. Every session I enter is treated with the utmost respect, patience, and empathy.
“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change”
Carl Rogers
Ready to Take the Next Step?
Every session I enter is person-centred, holistically minded and evidence-based. I keep my caseload low which enables me to pay the right amount of attention to every person I see. By connecting through telehealth this allows costs to remain affordable for clients without compromising on care.
