Individual Counselling

When life feels overwhelming, it’s easy to feel stuck or alone.
When you’re carrying a lot, it’s not always easy to understand your emotional responses or how past experiences may be influencing the present.

Left unaddressed, these struggles can impact wellbeing and self-confidence.
They may affect relationships, decision-making, and your ability to feel grounded or hopeful.

Individual counselling offers a supportive way forward.
I provide private, one-to-one therapy in a safe and confidential space, tailoring evidence-based approaches to your individual needs to support insight, growth, and meaningful change.

Pregnancy, Birth and Postnatal Mental Health

Pregnancy and early parenthood can be a time of both joy and vulnerability. It’s not uncommon to feel overwhelmed, isolated, or uncertain during this period of change.
You may be experiencing:

  • Emotions that feel destabilising and out of your control

  • Loneliness or a sense of being unsupported before or after birth

  • A birth experience that was different from what you hoped for

  • Challenges bonding with your baby

  • Feelings of grief, guilt, shame, or anger related to birth or parenthood

Counselling can offer a gentle space to share your story, explore your emotions, and begin to heal.

Attachment and Relational Trauma

Our early experiences of connection and attachment can deeply influence how we relate to others as adults. Our ability to connect, trust, and feel safe with others is often shaped by our early relationships. You might find yourself wondering:

  • Why do I repeat the same relationship patterns, even when I want change?

  • Why is it hard to trust, or do I trust too easily?

  • Why do I feel disconnected or misunderstood by others?

  • Why do I find it hard to connect with my children or maintain closeness with my partner?

Through counselling, you can gently explore these questions and may begin to understand the deeper roots of your relational patterns. With insight and compassion, it may become possible to create more secure, fulfilling connections — with yourself and those around you.

Parental Support and Guidance (0–5 years)

The early years of parenting can be both beautiful and overwhelming. While caring for a young child brings deep love and joy, it can also stir uncertainty, exhaustion, and self-doubt. Many parents find themselves wondering if they are doing “enough” or struggling to balance their own wellbeing with the needs of their child.

Parental support and guidance sessions offer a warm, understanding space to explore your experiences and strengthen your confidence as a parent. Together, we can reflect on your relationship with your child, your parenting values, and the challenges that may arise during the early years.

Sessions may support you in:

  • Understanding your child’s emotional and developmental needs

  • Strengthening the parent–child bond through attachment-focused approaches

  • Navigating feelings of overwhelm, frustration, or guilt

  • Adjusting to changes in identity and relationships after becoming a parent

  • Supporting co-parenting communication and connection

  • Developing self-compassion and realistic expectations in your parenting journey

These sessions are guided by an attachment-based and relational perspective, with a focus on creating emotional safety for both parent and child.

You don’t have to face the challenges of early parenthood alone.
